Advocacy Services
When you come into our service you will be allocated a dedicated Advocate whose job is to listen to you and help you achieve your goals.
This may be a plan for leaving your violent relationship safely or a plan for staying safe while you remain in your relationship.
All advocacy services provided are free and confidential.
Our Advocates are here to help you achieve your goals in relation to your safety and the safety of your Whānau.
Our advocates can support you to make an informed decision about the options available to you and to help you implement any goals and plans you put in place.
This journey is yours. The choices are yours. The successes are yours.
Our advocates are here to smooth the path for you and make sure you have emotional and practical support as you work to create a violence free life.
Our advocates will:
Support your safety by working with you to identify risks and put strategies in place to support your safety.
Provide you with accurate information on issues related to Family Violence, your rights, and options in accessing services to support your safety.
Listen so I can best understand your goals for yourself, and your tamariki, and provide practical and emotional support to enable you to achieve those goals.
Help you navigate the many agencies you may have to deal with as a victim of family violence including Courts, Police, Immigration, Government social agencies such as Oranga Tamariki (OT); and Work and Income (WINZ).
